Questions and Answers
1) Q. Will my band be paid for my
performance at LOMF?
A. No.
2) Q. Will my band or act be paid
for expenses?
A. Only acts that travel 14 hours or more will be reimbursed
for expenses. All expenses must be approved by LOMF prior to performance.
3) Q. Will my band or act ever receive payment for a performance at LOMF?
A. Possibly. Budget support and funding are in the process of being developed
and will be instituted as soon as possible.
4) Q. Will my act be included
in promotion and advertising?
A. Yes. LOMF will promote your act in all
promotions and advertising.
5) Q. Does it matter what style of music I
write?
A. No.
6) Q. If I am an explicit lyric artist, will I be able to
perform?
A. You can perform but you must keep it clean.
No profanity will be allowed.
7) Q. How long will I be
able to perform?
A. If you have been chosen to perform you will receive
notice as soon as a line-up has been decided and an itinerary with in one week
prior to the festival.
8) Q. How much is the registration fee for acts to
perform at LOMF?
A. Registration fee is $25.00 per act and payable by
check, money order or cash to Hit City Records. PO Box 64895, Baton Rouge, LA

9) Q. Can I perform with a band and as a solo performer?
A. Yes.
If you register each separately.
10) Q. Can I sell merchandise for my act
at LOMF?
A. Yes. At the LOMF official merchandise booth. LOMF will receive
10% of all sales.
11) Q. Can we bring ice chests or picnic items?
A.
No.
12) Q. Will PA system be provided by LOMF?
A. Yes.
13) Q. What
is the mission of LOMF?
A. To preserve and promote original music artists.
To network bands with bands for touring and swapping markets. To connect acts
to concert promoters, distributors and retail promoters, as well as to industry
professionals and to prove to buyers that new original acts can draw
people.
14) Q. If my act or band is based outside of Louisiana, can my act
or band perform in the Louisiana Original Music Festival?
A. Yes.

Q. Will my family have to pay regular admission?
A. No. Special discounts
will be available.

Can my act or band sell admission tickets
to
the LOMF?
A. Yes. You may sell tickets and you will
be allowed to keep
50% of your ticket sales
for your efforts.
17) Q. Can I have a guest
list?
A. No.

Q. Are children welcome?
A. Yes.

Will children have to pay?
A. Children 6 and under - FREE

20 Q. Will I have lodging?
A. Places of lodging will be
suggested to
your contact person.
21) Q. Will the band and crew be
fed?
A. Hospitality will be available to band and crew members.

What about dressing rooms?
A. Dressing area will be provided when
available.
23) Q. Can I record my performance?
A. No, but quality
videotape of your performance can be acquired from Azure Video, (225)

24) Q. Will anyone record the festival?
A. Yes, an authorized
festival representative will record LOMF.
25) Q. Will LOMF be available on
the Internet?
A. Yes. The festival will be broadcast by Cyber DJ Heather

26) Q. Can my act, band or label purchase advertisement from the LOMF?
A.
Yes. You can advertise in the souvenir booklet, on the official LOMF T-shirt,
as a stage sponsor, and on internet broadcasts.
27) Will I be able to
choose my performance time on any stage?
A. No, and if you are not
available at your time slot the next band will be placed in your spot.

Will I be able to choose which event of the LOMF I will perform in?
A. No.
All acts are placed by the Festival Committee.
29) How many events does the
LOMF consist of?
A. Four events: Festival Club Pre-Party (Fri. eve, Oct.
19); Outdoor Festival Stages (Sat., Oct. 20); Festival Club After-Party (Sat.
eve, Oct. 20); & an Outdoor Celebration (Sun. afternoon Oct. 21).

A. No. The LOMF means all originals.

sponsorships are suggested?
A. If you're coming from another state, you may
